Our Purpose
CrossWays PreSchool is planned with the young child in mind. During the preschool years, children need many hands-on experiences that are designed for their own developmental levels. Through such experiences, a sense of order of the world can be constructed by young children. In addition, socialization skills and healthy self-concepts are carefully guided by the staff as children interact with one another in play. Our purpose is to acquaint the children with a world that lies beyond home, and to provide a broad base for their learning experiences and social relationships. The program is enriched with Bible songs and stories to help the children see themselves as individuals growing in God's world. Our goal is to help each child:
  • develop self-identity as a person of worth and competence.
  • recognize reasonable limits and grow toward self-discipline and increased independence.
  • work and play effectively with other children and value the rights of others.
  • to be curious – that is, to wonder and seek answers to questions.
  • sharpen and widen language skills, both listening and speaking.
  • strengthen physical skills by using large and small muscles.
  • develop foundational skills for future learning.
  • form a positive connection with nature.

Most important is our desire to provide each child with a safe and positive preschool experience.

"We are thrilled that our children were able to get their first taste of
school at CrossWays. The teachers are warm and friendly, and genuinely love
working with the children. They treat each child as an individual, and
continually strive to give that child the best preschool experience possibe."
