This older youth ministry continues the series of events celebrating important milestones in the life of young people.
High School Senior Graduate Recognition: We mark this occasion in worship with prayer and a blessing for the graduates and their families.
Up to Us: Holy Cross hosts this special event for parents of middle school and high school youth. Up to Us is a coalition in Lake County involving men and women, working together in an allied community effort to raise awareness, increase education, and demonstrate leadership in the movement against violence. The 2 programs, the "Making of Men" and the "Impossibility of Women," addresses the expectations that are placed on young men and young women and how we can be active participants in reducing violence in our culture.
Family Fun Events: Each year we seek to offer opportunities where families with children can gather together for a time of fun and fellowship.
We hold a movie event and pack care packages for college students.
We celebrate Harvestfest by gathering on a Sunday afternoon for crafts, games, cupcake decorating, jumping in the bounce house, and more.
Around Easter, look for another special family fun event.
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP: Throughout the year, high school youth gather to learn, serve, and have fun, often doing all three at the same time. We are holding Sunday evening youth group the same time as confirmation. Plan ahead for a mission trip and some fun events like lock-ins or the annual corn maze.
COLLEGE STUDENTS: During winter break, college students gathered with Pastor Bob and Pastor Krista at Wildberry Restaurant. In addition to enjoying a great breakfast, the group enjoyed catching up with one another and hearing more about each other's time in college. In addition, care packages were sent to college students.

Our journey of faith occurs from the cradle to the grave. Along the way, there are important milestone events in our lives. At Holy Cross we seek to honor and lift up those milestone events. Through milestone ministries we celebrate and mark the important events and times in the lives of children and youth. By doing so, we as a congregation and as families of faith live out the promises that are made when someone is baptized. Milestone ministries serve as an important way of connecting, supporting and equipping families and the congregation to pass on the faith.

Pastoral staff provides spiritual guidance, key leadership as well as development for youth leaders, parents and volunteers involved in each event.
