Visual Faith Practice
The 40 days of Lent provides us with the opportunity to alter the daily rhythm of life. During the Lenten season in 2020 we would like to invite you to change things up by adding a daily practice. We are calling it a Lenten “Visual Faith Practice.” It will consist of an image, a scripture passage and reflection questions. Each day, starting on Ash Wednesday, there will be a different image, scripture and question provided. Our hope is that these daily devotions will provide you with a few moments each day to deepen and enrich your spiritual life. In viewing these images, the following questions offer a guide to reflecting on the images and scripture. How would you describe this image to another person? What aspect of this image most grabs your attention? What story does this image tell? What emotions surface as you consider this image?
Beginning on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, check back on this page for new content that will continue to build a daily library of devotional material for your use.
In addition, there will be a Lenten “Visual Faith Practice” available on the screen in the gathering space at Holy Cross on each Sunday morning between worship services, for shared conversation during fellowship times and we will incorporate the Lenten “Visual Faith Practice” into our midweek Lenten worship experience on the following Wednesdays: March 4, 11, 18, 25 & April 1 at 7:30 - 8 pm. All are welcome to join us!
