Our biggest LIFT (Living In Faith Together) event of the year is almost here and you won't want to miss it!
On October 20-21 we will be surrounded by the tranquil, picturesque setting of Lutherdale, in Elkhorn, Wi., in the beautiful new Hope Conference Center. Lutherdale is a place for rejuvenation, learning, and fellowship - we will be doing all three in our time together. In order to have an uplifting, enjoyable and positive retreat experience, we have shifted our focus slightly to include a different film and have delayed the viewing of "Women Talking" to a later date. We will keep the theme of women talking because we will examine what makes relationships between women so special and how finding our place in a loving community can also help us find our own voice. If you have never been to Lutherdale, it has 52 wooded acres with magnificent views of Lauderdale Lake which will be absolutely gorgeous with all of the fall colors! Just being there will bring a calm that is hard to duplicate anywhere else. We hope you will join us and we invite you to retreat from life’s hectic pace and enjoy time with fellow women of faith.
The cost will be $125 for each participant. Scholarships are available - talk with or email Beth Ann before registering for more details.
All room accommodations will be with at least one other person or more (there are only 20 rooms with varying configurations available, so the number of actual participants will dictate how many people will be in a room). So please indicate at least one (or more) roommate preference(s) on your registration form and have your friends list you on their form. Not sure who to room with? Never fear - we are happy to match you up with another participant. Don't let this stop you from coming! There are ADA compliant rooms available, so please indicate on the registration form if you need this type of accommodation. All linens and towels will be provided. The conference center houses all of the rooms, so we will be in one location except for when we take a short walk to the dining hall for our meals. Our evening and morning devotion will be on the deck of the conference center (weather permitting).
The deadline to register is Monday, September 25! So, register today, don't wait! Please go to the registration link or the QR code will bring you directly to the on-line registration form. If you prefer to register/pay via a paper copy/check, a brochure with the registration form can be found here or copies can be found in the gathering space. Please make any checks out to "Holy Cross Lutheran Church" and put "Women's Retreat" on the memo line. Please give completed paper registration forms and non-online payments to Beth Ann or they can be turned in to the church office.
